About

“I write the way light moves through a room. Slowly, and then all at once.”

SJ Shaver is a composer working across the concert hall, the cinema and the game studio. His music favors long melodic lines, close harmony and orchestration that leaves room to breathe.

Recent commissions include a string orchestra nocturne, a feature film score recorded with a forty piece chamber orchestra, and a choral cycle on the hours of a single day. He writes from a studio at the foot of the Rocky Mountains.
